For the last week I have been trying to catch some of the color of Spring, no easy task as the initial coloring of the Season lasts only a few days. Today it is as if overnight all the trees sprouted their full leaves in the size thay will stay in until the last leaf drops in the Fall. The early color is already beginning to darken and mature, so, if you live where this has already happened here is a small sample of what we tend to forget constituted the original paint job by God, the Master Artist.

The image below is perhaps a swatch from God's palette and used lovingly to paint something of Spring on everything in sight.

O, Shaper of Beauty, You are green, once again.
Your singular, unique lovliness is your gift to us once again -
We have waited through the longest of Winters, I am told,
For You to give Yourself as a surprise to our waiting hearts.

Green is the color of Our True Love's hair.
Everywhere I look I see the soft tresses of Our Love,
As She Who Brings All Life, into life, shows Her beauty once again.

The Womb of God has opened, and all is green once again.
Undoing the ties that held Her hair close all Winter,
The delicate beauty has unfolded and covered us with green.

Flowing down and out,
Into every living thing readied to receive the Gift,
In this, a new Season, the softness of green,
The constant colors of Spring are given.

Creative Transformation,
Creations Transforming Power -
A new starting point has arrived again.

Let the storm clouds come ....

Nothing living grows unless something else has died.
This is how nourishment is provided to the earth -
Along with water, the Source of life,
Growth is the only result possible.

Rain arrives.

Life will grow in the most unlikely of places,
Such is the Power that eternally offers itself -
God's will is to create, endlessly,
Every where and everywhere.

A tugboat that is being restored by a friend and his friends.
Even here in a desolate boatyard life grows each Spring.

Until next week enjoy the Spring,

  1. There is a call for better support for many prison educators in relation to what they are able to teach and how they are able to do so.  One thing that seems to be getting the thumbs up is how Functional Skills qualifications are being taught in prison and the effect that they are having on the students/prisoners.
