I haven't put a post out in a few weeks so here are just a few photos taken about three weeks ago. The first is for a friend, Bev, who liked a picture that had something of a stained glass look to it. So looking at the water in the woods here I somehow brought out what follows. The woods are indeed a Cathedral full of God's wondrous surprises that are prayer - ours and God's in us.
A new post will follow in a day or two.

- Cathedral -
Lynn told us all of the
content of her spirit,
"Nature," she
said, "is my church.
"It is where I am at
home with God."
A valid expression of
God's Desire I thought.
But thinking is not
experiencing so I set out,
Where is this church in
the woods ?
In the elements, water,
rocks, trees, sky ……..
Acadia,
where else need I dare look -
Yes! Not a church but a
Cathedral is there!
All the trappings of Saint
Peter's in Rome are there –
The wondrous living sculptures
of trees, rocks, sea, everywhere!
The stained glass windows
in every view,
The leaf and snow covered
floors of finest 'marble ..'
The grandeur that no human
construction can emulate.
What did it take to see
this wonder ?
The eyes of the heart to
open –
Nothing more.

Everything in life that we really accept
undergoes a change.

Look deeply into the tree one day
and it will reveal itself
in its true reality -
showing us what God sees.
A view from Schoodic point.
This point is another part of Acadia National park
As one learns to see it becomes natural
to look not at the woods,
but into the woods-
and to be always surprised
even if nothing is there.
