I am still in pain with whatever is happening with this right hand so I will not put a lot of text on this post. Tests will continue until a prognosis is made. Pray for the doctors if you would.

- The Story Of One Who Chose To Leave -
When the rain
fell from Heaven, ego proclaimed to its captive,
"I did not
want nor ask for this Grace ! "
Then as ego,
urging flight and demanding fear filled denials of the Truth,
Our friend gave
in to this false voice and descended to the sewers,
hoping for escape from Love's Storms.
Seemingly safe
from the raging tempest of Living Water outside,
Reality took a
long holiday – twenty years for that shielded heart –
Constantly
struggling to be free of all memory of The Rain of God's longing
for the heart and soul of one who did not
know how to accept the Gift.
Yet, still and
always, Love is ever patient,
Finding its way
to the deepest, darkest self-constructed tombs –
Man-made
conduits slowly flowing with so much waste,
Human and
otherwise, making its way to the sea.
And there is
the plan of God all along for those who are trapped in themselves,
Sewers are
built to empty into treatment centers to remove all toxic things
Prior to
releasing a clearer water into the Ocean –
The vast
expanse of God's Self, Home for all travels through this life.
As the Ocean's
surface evaporated somewhat, our friend was drawn into a cloud
That soon
emptied itself into a garden whose flowers were thirsty –
Then rising up
inside the stalk of a rose, bloomed into beauty,
And knew for
the first time the joy of opening to The Sun –
Receiving all
that was offered at journey's beginnings.

A short discourse on tea -
“Haji Ali spoke.
‘If you want to thrive in Baltistan, you must respect our ways. The first time
you share tea with a Balti, you are a stranger. The second time you take tea,
you are an honored guest. The third time you share a cup of tea, you become
family, and for our family, we are prepared to do anything, even die. Doctor
Greg, you must take time to share three cups of tea. We may be uneducated but
we are not stupid. We have lived and survived here for a long time.’ That day,
Haji Ali taught me the most important lesson I’ve ever learned in my life. We
Americans think you have to accomplish everything quickly…Haji Ali taught me to
share three cups of tea, to slow down and make building relationships as
important as building projects. He taught me that I had more to learn from the
people I work with than I could ever hope to teach them.”
